AED Site Evaluations
To maximize the effectiveness of your AED Program, eMED helps you determine your needs, priorities and strategic locations for AED placement by providing consultation, a needs assessment tool and examples for strategic AED placement. eMED assesses your facility and recommends an appropriate number of AEDs for a location or building based on the time it takes to retrieve an AED and rush to the victim's side.
Because time is critical (with survival rates decreasing approximately 10% each minute), it is strongly recommended that it take 3-5 minutes or less to identify the victim, retrieve the AED, and return to the victim to begin the rescue.
