The HeartSaver CPR Course Teaches CPR and relief of choking in adults and children, and infant CPR and relief of choking, and use of barrier devices for all ages. Furthermore, this class teaches lay rescuers how to recognize and treat life-threatening emergncies including cardiac arrest and choking. Students also learn to recognize the warning signs of heart attack and stroke in adults. Intended for those who have a duty to respond to a cardiac emergency because of job responsibilities or regulatory requirements - employees in a workplace, day care employees, babysitters, firefighters, police, security guards, airline personel, family members of patients with a high risk for sudden cardiac arrest.
